My Sturmanskie with a Poljot type 2614 hand-wind movement gains about a minute a day. Is this to be expected? I've heard that mechanicals settle after awhile. The watch is almost 2 months old. It gets wound at the same time every day. Is there an adjustment that I should seek? Or will it always behave like this? I realize it's not a high$ watch, but any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks, John

One minute is a bit fast and a bit out of adjustment for speed but it may have a little too much beat error in it as well. Any good jeweler with a timing machine can check it out and try to adjust it for you.

I have a SECONDA Chrono, 1978 made, manual wind. It is always like this with the Soviet/Russian watches (and not only). Sometimes they just look great, and you cannot withstand, but buy a one. Then ahead - only disappointments. Braslets are rubbih, straps put stains on your sleeves, WR is straw, cristal - well, let's not talk about cristals, and the daily magnitude is 30-60 seconds +. As Russinas use to say, "Our watches are the fastest in the world", hehehehe

"Our watches are the fastest in the world" That was good for a yuk! The Sturmanskie is a new one(Volmax) and seems well made. I'll go with it for awhile. Perhaps adding to my collection would take some attention away from the deficiencies in what I currently own..... Thanks for the help. jc
