I am looking into buying one of these but need some more info.  One is a Seiko and the other an accutron.  I am mainly interested in the movement of the Accutron.  They said it was a quartz but I am not sure about how accutron goes about this so  a little education on this would be helpful.  The seiko I just would like to know the size.  SAH does not give any info of this.  Thanks, Scott

The Seiko is about 42mm without crown... maybe 45mm with the crown. DO NOT pay $199 for it!!

I don't know the specifics on the Accutron but would bet at the very least it is Swiss quartz.

Scott,

Pax is correct on the Seiko and i believe Overstock has them for less today with 10% off.

The Accutron...I could not find any info on the type of Swiss chrono movement, but the dial layout lends itself to the G-10 which is a base albiet reliable chrono movement. Nice looking watch BTWhand6.gif

Thanks guys!  I was going to pull the trigger on the Seiko since it was an auto last night but glad I didnt. Whew!  Saving me cash again!  I really like the looks of the Accutron, just was leery about the movement.

The Black Monster would be my choice over the Accutron as I believe any WIS' collection should contain at least one!yourock.gif

I would pick the Accutron any day. I have 2 of them, both with Valjoux and they don't miss a beat THAT MEANS SECOND per day. Excellent value and quality. perfect.gif

An excellent Valjoux chrono is the Gemini series. I think the Eagle Pilot is a quartz as is the Breckenridge model. A bit of research on Google or eBay will take you to some really good prices. Good luck on your search!
