I think the sinn is a far more interesting and personal choice than the Rolex, regardless of price. for many people the rolex is the go to luxury item, when a milestone (and a rich milestone at that is achieved; it's a lot like BMW, Mercedes or porsche are in the car world. such items are bought for the message they convey to outsiders far more than the owner's own aesthetic pleasure. So, when in a position to do so, go with your heart, choose the one thing you truly like. As for me I keeop dreaming of the day i can get a hold of the elusive and slippery RENATO; until then, my Enzo, Ocean7 and Seiko divers (and others) will have to suffice and fill the void in my heart for the grail of grails, the giant among giants. Please forgive me for pontificating, I have not been able to control this papal habit of mine ever since i first visited the Vatican; I'm told the current pope is a fan of Sinns

Thanks Alessandro for bringing me back down  to earth...after realizing that 3 of my closest chef friends own a Rolex, which I would really regret in buying.

1) Rolex Submariner Ref. 16610 @ $5,692 U.S. =(Sinn 103 A ST +
                                                                       Omega Speedmaster Pro-Moon)

                                                                                      or

2) Sinn 103 A ST + Omega Speedmaster MkII + 1 Breitling Avenger Diver.

3) Sinn 103 A ST + IWC Portofino Men's Dress Watch.

There's a lot I can buy for $5,600 in both Canadian and U.S.  Dollars
considering our currencies are at par at the moment.
