A bit out of range for what I would pay for a watch in my present situation but I would not mind having one some day.

Some pics and a writeup and more information about about it at the following links.

I was checking that out a few weeks back.  You can't beat the pedigree.  Also, I like the design a LOT.  Awesome balance between functionality and fashion.  In that sense, I think the sub/SD line is as close to perfect as any watch has come.

That said:  It's too rich for my blood.  I could never justify the cost with such strong competition from Omega in the Planet Ocean & SeaMaster Pro lines.  Also, consider the Seiko MarineMaster.  What does their Spring Drive model cost?

Maybe I'd feel different if I were in another tax bracket.  But for a true WIS looking for the ultimate diver....  I think there are other options.  I fold.

Just my $0.02

I don't know what they are asking and really don't care. This line from Rolex is the gold standard imho. Worth every penny I'll bet.

When I win the lottery... SDDS for all active 3T members!! toon1.gif

After serious consideration I suppose I wouldn't mind one either!
rather than wait for Paxman to win the state lottery, why don't we all chip in any have our own lottery for one? The odds are much better. woohoo.gif Can't see myself picking one up soon otherwise. $$$$
