http://www.watchbuys.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=567 Saw mention of this at WUS and had to check it out. I don't care for the lug area or bracelet but what a cool dial and complication. What do you all think? Borrowed pic! Attachment: 52week.jpg (Downloaded 117 times)

Nice complication and all but not one that I would ever find of too much interest. For me the dial seems out of balance too. Nice respectable watch but not one for me. JMHO!!

I like the overall style of the case but agree the lug attachment makes swapping straps impossible except for propriety models. As for the 52 week complication, it could have some useful business applications. I wonder if the Date function operates like a perpetual calendar taking into account the number of days in each month since the watch would "know" what month it is. Gotta get me a GMT bezel watch. It's a good solution without the expense of GMT movements. Power reserve; I like that too. Well executed. The 9 eater pointer day I feel upsets the balance of the dial. I would prefer a traditional day window alongside the date. Final grade? Nice watch. I'm sure I could find a place to keep it.

Yea though the complications are cool. The dial is out of balance. Nice concept for the business man. I looked for info on the movement but could nod anything really. I would assume it is a in-house build maybe. As for a GMT you could always go for a Asian brand watch with the lower price point.

I like it. Though I find the name a little confusing. Not sure what I really expected, but it's not like the actual automatic movement can run for 52 weeks when wound. Rather it's a mixed reference to the Day/week complication and the power reserve. Regardless, I think it's a nice looking watch. Not sure I'd cough up $2500 for it, but I like it. --Steve

First: Is the 52 week complication at all useful? Who would really need it for anything? I know, I know, It's just cool to have-- like a moonphase-- which is also pretty useless, since the only people who could really use it-- those that live in areas in the middle east and Asia that employ the Lunar calendar-- are so aware of the moon's phase (it's printed on all their calendars) that they don't need a watch to tell them what it is. Second: It doesn't really work, since many years have more than 52 weeks in the calendar. Look at the 2008 calendar-- it has 53 weeks.

Awesome watch!....the 53 weeks is a year including leap year and is more of a European thing than U.S as they count the calendar by weeks instead of months like ushand6.gif

I like the idea. Not that common to see the # weeks. But here in Sweden we use it all the time. Work is planned weekly, vacations set for certain weeks, school is also planned for each week. I would love to see a combined week/month calender. That would be useful in visualizing the different weeks and in what month they are. Anyone have any more examples of watches with this complication?

I found this watch too: http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=2000666&rid=052_true_to_its_name.php which is more useful since you can match the weeks to the months. I just think it should run anti-clockwise instead. Just how i visualize the year.
