Is anyone actually doing any trading on the boards these days.  I did pick up that Eterna tank on a trade, but not really finding many trades on Elite Deal Seeker.  Anyone here at 3T do a trade lately and what did you acquire?

I've never traded watches. Been awhile but back in my teens and twenties traded knives, comics, bikes or bike parts and as a kid marbles too. :) LOL

I am finding a limited few people that are open to friendlily trades.  Everyone thinks their watch is a Grail watch and wants the world for it.  But there are normal guys that are looking to trade up or down, just for the sake of moving a watch and not really to make a profit.  I understand most people are selling and wheeling and dealing for the next "grail".  Thoughts?

I love doing trades!  The only reason I don't often post a watch for trade is I'm selling it to fund a watch I've already bought! :P

I haven't done too many trades, and those I've done were with WIS I've known forever, like TonyD, Oscar, mcwright and watchboy...usually, people try to "best" one another in a trade, which is contrary to my philosophy that in order for a deal to be a good one (in anything), everybody has to come away a winner.

I am a big trader too - much more fun than all that money changing hands... ;)  I just this morning got a package from a trade earlier this week; on my end I got a Suunto military xlander and a Seiko MileMarker...both watches I really wanted, and it just  so happened somebody wanted what I had!  I agree that trades seem to be rare these days...it is hard to tell when you see someone asking an outrageous amount for something if they are just starting high with the intention of bartering down, or if they really expect that!  More  than once I have been tempted to send people web pages from legit vendors where I can buy the watch NEW cheaper than they are asking used...how funny is that!
