Hey guys, I had an interesting proposal come forward, my Panerai 0049 for a Chopard One on leather strap and a Omega Seamaster and an Omega SpeedMaster.

Condition on all the watches are very good to excellent and come with links and boxes, paperwork............

Would you trade a Panerai for an Chopard and two Omegas....would that be taking a step backwards?

Personally, I feel it would be a step backwards, You have achieved Panerai ownership and now youd be letting go.

On the other hand, If  your able to flip the 3 watches and get more for all three than you paid for your panny, then you could upgrade into a better model of panny.

If you enjoy having more watches than less, good deal

If you enjoy having less watches than not a good deal

Tough Call

I would price the 3 out on the various sales fora, and compare the result w/ what you paid or could pay for another. Luckily, you should have plenty of "comps" out there, as they are all popular!

I am thinking it would be best to stay within the Panerai world and move up and instead of trying to flip more common watches and then hit a market where price increases are due in a weeks time.  I could trade or sell the 49 and other watches and step up.

I will be the dissenting voice..  I would take the Chopard and 2 Omegas for the Panny anyday.. but then again I like all 3 of them better than the Pam 049.  The Chopard is a really nice piece in person.

I kinda agree with Crue on this one as the PAM049 at 40mm was never appealing to me size wise as a 45mm Panny would be...and the 3 offers in the trade are worth as much imho(Chopard One GMT costs more actually than a PAM049) depending on the model #'s and overall condition and of course what you paid for the PAM049hand6.gif
