Why do the Sumo's hold their value more, relative to other brands that are considered equal or better, at the same price range? There is a listing on another forum where, the seller is basically selling the watch for what he paid for it two weeks ago from Chino Japan for $440.00. I know that prices have gone up. Any thoughts.

Aside from being a solid watch,

I have found that most of us who jump into this fine sickness, usually start with Seikos, Citizens, Casios, due to the cost of them and we learn as we go.

I feel that the Sumo is one of those Mystique watches that everybody has to own at least once or twice, just like yourself, we have all wondered about that watch more than mostly any other so the Mystique Demand keeps its value up, due to demand.

Just .02 cents on my behalf.

cheers

Some folks think that because they paid a price for a watch, they should be able to get that same price, not always the case, but sometimes you find a guy who is looking for one and doesnt want to wait for Intl shipping so he goes for it.

I appreciate your thoughts. I wondered if that was how the Sumo is regarded.

Progression: Seiko Monster, Seiko Samurai, Seiko Sumo, etc.

SELL along the way, then when you are done restart the whole process over. :D

Lol..that was almost my progression with the Seiko's..

Samurai, Monster then Sumo...then I sold the Sammurai and Monster to help fund the K3nz0 and have never regretted it...

both the Kenzo ans Sumo will be keepers for a long time to come Thumbsup3.gif
