crap.gifI just purchased a new watch, and it is not running. IF there is a battery in it as the sales person stated, and it is not dead, how do I strat the watch running?

It's an inexpensive Armitron, the back of the watch has the numbers 75/3018 and 753H under that.

Make sure your crown is pushed in all the way. Sometimes they have a little plastic tab which prevent the crown from being engaged.

Was the watch running when you bought it?

No plastic tab.....................No, watch was not running when purchased. I guess I need to take it to a watch repair (Sears) and see if the battery is either dead or not in the watch.

Hey if the watch doesn't and didn't work just bring it back to where you purchased it from. No need for you to replace a battery in a new watch. That's up to the seller imho.

I would however, it was purchased from Mervyns, who is going out of business, all sales are final.

 All the other watches in the case were not working either.

My sentiments exactly.....................guess I'll take it back and see what Mervyns says and if they can't ewmwdy the problem.......take it to Sears.

I used to love Mervyns when I lived in California. Sorry to hear they are going under. I wouldn't waste time going back to them as they probably don't have any batteries if they are soon to close...:shock:
