I’ve received word from my sources at Swiss ETA Valjoux and to no ones surprise prices are going up as of January 1st. Look for a 3% cost increase to manufacturers on quartz, and an 8% increase on all mechanical calibers (wow) with the exception being a 12% increase (double wow!) on calibers 7750, 51, 53, and 54! The same goes for the A07 series as well as 2801, 2804, 2893, and 2895-2! Recognize any of these, guys? A word to the wise; buy Swiss engines now!

Thanks for the heads up, I too know about this. Hamilton Jazzmaster Automatic Chronograph retails for $1,595 Canadian. With that kind of increase of 12% on mechanical 7750s to A07, I can assure you that the Longines Master Collection Chronograph will be in the stratosphere. On the other hand, I've already purchased my Hamilton Jazzmaster Maestro Chronograph two months ago with the Valjoux 7750 movement for $1,495...which is some good news. Cheers, Simon
