I've done searches on the forum and I'm still unclear about the grey market. From what I gather is that if you purchase a premium brand watch, say Omega or Breitling..you may not be able to get these watches fixed even if you are willing to pay for the repair. The manufacturer won't provide parts to a AD service center if the watch is not in their data base as purchased thru an AD...Is this true? Thank you.

it is true Norman but there are some grey market vendors that include the warranty card and as long as you have that and it is still under warranty it should be OK...be careful as some grey marketeers actually remove serial #'s and in this case you are on your own to pay for repairs....some of your higher end brands actually give you a hard time if you are a second or third owner from my experience ;)

...others have bought Hamiltons from T.J Maxx and had the warranty card and Hamilton did the repairs no questions ask...again the warranty card is the key....right now JTV has a great sale on grey market Breitlings,Omegas,Oris and the like and they stand behind their sales....so this would be a good place to buy imho as well as a few other online dealershand6.gif
