You're looking at all of the Forums and favorite watch websites and then from out of nowhere and for no reason that Old GOTAGETMEONE Bug bites you. Well it has happened to me - again!

I am looking for some advice regarding buying an O & W Chrono from Howard Marx or a CWC 1970's Remake Chrono from Silvermans. Which one would you buy???

O & W Special Chrono
Movement: Valjoux 7733
38mm
40mm lug to lug
14.0mm high
$750 - $775

CWC 1970's Remake Chrono
Movement: Valjoux 7760
41mm
47mm lug to lug with fixed spring bars
14.0mm high
$900 - $1025

Thanks in advance for you advice!!!

I'd go for the CWC. It's a little more pricey but has that cool vintage factor.

I like O & W a lot, but 38mm is a bit small.

both are sweet watches and it would depend on size which there isn't much difference between 38mm and 41mm once you count the crown and pushers, both have excellent movements imohand6.gif

If you are leaning towards the O&W just mention to Howard that you are a 3T member and he will take excellent care of you ThumbsUp02.gif

Thanks for posting the photos and YES those are the 2 chronos that I am considering. Anybody on the forum ever dealt with Silvermans? I know that Horward Marx is a terrific person to deal with but I don't know a thing about Silvermans.

Thanks again for the GREAT LOOKING photos!!!

I haven't dealt with Silvermans, but I can tell you that Howard is top notch. I purchased from him and he does in fact take care of you through the whole buying process. I would not hesitate to buy from him again.

Here's my O&W from Howard

It's the Val 7765 rather than the 7733.  The only other watches I have seen with the 7765 are from CWC/Silvermans.

Cheers,
Griff
