Well Tim (TT) is a member here and will likely give us a heads up to what is going on when he is able to. I am sad to see this happen but saw it coming after SAH went under. JTV just never did right by him or the Watch Show IMHO :?

It's unfortunate when this kind of thing happens to a really good guy.I am lucky to know Tim and call him my friend becuase he is a genuinely nice guy whether it's about watches or just life in general his knowledge on high watches, music and photography are awesome. Tim was as shocked as everyone else becuase he was completely blind-sided again with no upfront knowledge of what was going on...only his own suspicions.

I am not sure if the shows are completely over at JTV or if they are in transitition.restructuring...TT is on vacation and once he returns I will ask him.I only hope he finds an avenue that keeps him in watches...the kind of watches we and Tim love and not the stuff he was forced to sell after the fact....hand6.gif

His greatest line was "buy it for the strap" that was his tip off for his friends that the watch was a poc and in most cases had a nice Hadley Roma gator on it...aka Lupah!subtlelaugh.gif

Ditto!  Tim is fantastic...he got me involved back in the old snbc days.  I thought it amazing that he would actually respond to my ignorant emailed questions as I was trying to learn!  I don't know whether I should be grateful for his getting me involved or not...;)...it has cost me a fortune, but it has also given me great enjoyment.

Paxman...as far as your statement that 62% of what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, it is interesting to note that 58.4% of all statistics are simply made up! :D........and 47.9% are not!

Funny...TT just gave me a call and he wanted to pass along his sincere gratitude and thanks for everyones support and kind words! hand6.gif

One thing about Tim is his humbleness and he points no fingers but in the end he and JTV did not see eye to eye and they parted amicably....integrity is a great and rare attribute to have in that business.:)

TT has some personal projects in the works as well as discussions to return to TV watch shows which is great news and when he has something positive to say as far as what direction he is headed he will let us know.Watches are not his primary gig....music and photograhy and naturally watches are his 1st loves. He is a true WIS when it comes down to it yourock.gif

I wish Tim the very best and a Happy New year!yahoo.gif

TT is the reason for my Watch Insanity.  I was going through  the beginnings of a Divorce back around seven years ago.  Both immature, but instead of taking the argument to bed I would stay up and watch TV....ShopNBC and Mr. Tim Temple.

I guess it was his knowledge and excitement about XEMEX and Invicta that got me wound up about watches that I could afford and could enjoy.

Now years later I am very happy and have stepped up the watch ladder a little bit, but still appreciate TT and his ever changing Posse.

Speaking of Posse...what was the Watch Posse?  Why was Tim always giggling about the Posse.....and doing imitations of someone.

I hope Tim ends up back on one of the Major Channels....

Now I had a problem with the Watch Commander and his marriage with Oceanaut and his direct ties to the product and his lack of objectivity.  I did not understand his double speak after the lady would give us the shout down on the watch...some times I wonder if some of these guys are just Carny workers who founder their way to TV.

LOL same here Ken for the most part. I had been into watches before that. Mostly quartz. Tim is the one who turned me onto automatics. ;)

I wish Tim the best. The format at JTV has always looked cheap, little effort in sets, watches and jewels on a velvet covered display or lazy susans. A big part of the sell is how everything is packaged. Cheap sets and a poor presentation reflects on the product. i.e., cheap product.  I saw some good improvement on the Watch Show as time marched on. Tim is a good salesman. He really needs the right inventory and production to shine. I was starting to like Avi too; at least she knew a crown from a bezel. I think a mixed model combining jewelry and watches in the same show is a bad idea. You have different segments.

I would like to have seen JTV rework the watch show with Tim. Again a better inventory would have gone a long way.
