Im just worried now that my orange monster is fake. I bought it off of Amazon.com and the thing is built like a brick TIHS house and keeps great time so I doubt its fake. Last edited on Thu Jan 8th, 2009 04:21 pm by |

I highly doubt the OM is a replica but would think the Seiko direct drive at $185. is a definite replica

I've seen Seiko and Casio fakes on Canal st. in NYC when I worked near by. Hell I have even seen Poljot fakes there also. So I would bet that fake OM's exist. Though I did read that the NYPD was cracking down but they do that once every couple of years.

Here's the bottom line on OM pricing. I bought mine direct from the Seiko Outlet in Las Vegas. With bracelet, it cost me $170 plus a little change...that include sales tax and shipping.

no doubt there are replicas in every shape, form and brand out there...it is even rumored a company on another forum is selling a replica model with his brand name on it :D WIS need to really do their research these days and know the seller before buying or buy the seller as it has been said....Killer bought his at Amazon.com and I highly doubt a company of this size would be selling fakes and he should have nothing to worry abouthand6.gif Ron Jr wrote: I've seen Seiko and Casio fakes on Canal st. in NYC when I worked near by. Actually the watch did not come directly from Amazon.com, it came from a company called WorldOfWatches.com http://www.worldofwatches.com/Seiko-WATCHES.asp?bo_brand_id=2293 I think Amazon.com works more or less like a middle man. Honestly at this point even if the watch was a fake (which im about 99.9% sure it isnt) I wouldnt even care. It keeps great time (+4s/day), heavy, and looks fantastic. I almost feel ashamed to wear it and want to buy a new "crappier" watch or another orange monster to just keep in the sock drawer. Last edited on Mon Jan 12th, 2009 11:36 am by |
