I put my search-fu to work and didn't find a lot about watch tools or amateur watch repair here. Now, that means that either my search-fu is weak or there hasn't been much discussion about tools. As a watch hobbyist what tools do a guy need for amateur tinkering with watches? What's the best? What's good quality at a fair price? Basic set ups? Kits? Essential watch tools? Repairs an amateur can do? Tips and techniques? So on and so forth, I think you get the idea. I know that this stuff has been discussed on other sites, but this is my watch home and have been pondering for a while why no one here seems to discuss this stuff. I know we have some tinkerers here.

You can't go wrong with Bergeon tools. They are the "Mercedes" of watchmakers tools.

Cheap screwdrivers end up ruining screw heads and the tips go bad pretty fast. You can sharpen the Bergeons to keep the tips nice and flat. Dumont tweezers too hand6.gif Cheers, Griff
