Hi everyone! I finally got 250 dial blanks for the Bradley back from the company that applies the Satellite Black coating to them. I spent three days carefully examining each one of them in various light and under a magnifying glass. The results were impressive. There were a few rejects, as I expected, mostly where a spec of dust snuck onto the dial just before painting.

Having gotten up close and intimate with the Satellite Black coating, I have to say it is really pretty amazing stuff. It is very very black under most conditions. But in certain light and at certain angles, the coating is a dull medium grey. This coating has a lot of character and is unlike any watch dial I have ever seen. There is also a slight texture to the surface, which enhances the non-reflectivity of the dial. For more information about the Satellite Black dial coating, please visit:

The dials have been sent off to Switzerland for the application of the white paint and the White BG W9 SuperLuminova. If you're not familiar with the new BG W9 luminous, it is amazing stuff. It is nice, pure white, like the old C1, but three times brighter, nearly as bright as the yellow-tinted C3. ALso, the BG W9 glows blue. I can't wait to see the results!

By the way, the 30 presale watches sold out today. Thanks to everyone who reserved!
