Hey all,

I am on a search for the "perfect" strap for my orange Zeno Army diver.  While the bracelet is nice and well made, it is just a bit too 'bling' for my taste.  I just put the watch on a diamond pattern Italian rubber deployant, and while it looks OK it is just a bit on the blah side.  I figure a classic style like what was supplied with the Time Factors PRS-50 would be perfect but Eddie only had them in 22mm.  Zeno has the same strap listed on their website in 20mm but it's out of stock.
I tried a rubber Oyster, a NOS Tropic (too thin) and a Rhino though I would prefer rubber.  Have any of you spotted a vintage style rubber strap without shoulders?  The Zeno lugs are too deep for any of the regular shoulder style rubber dive straps.  The only ones I think would fit the deeper lugs are the Seiko 20mm Marine master, which are very stiff as I had one and sold it, and the Seiko "Sawtooth" strap.  The problem with the Sawtooth is that it a little more modern style.

Thanks!
Griff

Griff...I know what you mean about the bling of all that polished surface.  Quite frankly, I found the PRS-50 strap to be very uncomfortable...the MKII Stingray strap was great though...but here's a thought, the ZENO Army Diver bracelet is a very nice bracelet...have you given any thought to bead blasting watch & bracelet?

I should drop Duarte a line and see what his turnaround might be.

Thanks!
Griff

Alos, Jason at Modena (formery Thorntonpark) has some very nice and comfortable rubber/deployant straps for low $$$!  I use one on my ORSA Orangia....

Thanks for the link Ken hand6.gif  Modena has repro Tropics so I just ordered one to give it a try.  I saw some pics of Doxas with Tropics, they looked good.  I also thought I might try to work with the bling so I picked up a mesh bracelet too.  I always wanted to try one, so if it doesn't work on the Zeno I have plenty others it would.  If neither looks like I want, off it goes to Duarte for a bead blast.  Trouble with that is then I will be tempted to mod it with Noah's "Soxa" hands :D

Cheers,
Griff
