I have not seen a set price yet but saw a target price for it to be around $ 290 US.

Just heard from Marc at LI and he says he'll be getting these watches, whoo hooo!  At that price point I say it's a steal.  I get all disappointed wandering through malls seeing all these quartz pocketwatches, I'm thrilled to see Orient is making this.

Yea I've had 3 quartz pocket watches over the past 25 years and they along with any other quartz watches I've had ended up getting sold off cheap or in the dresser drawer or going to Good Will charity after haveing 2 or 3 battery changes. Handcranker or auto only now days for me.

ok now I'm curious.  It's great the japanese have a hacking hand cranker that they're putting into a pocket watch (the possibilities just think) but who else is doing new mechanical pocket watches?  Molnja has shut down and Tissot's has an MSRP of 495.  Does anyone else know who might be making new mechanical pocket watches?
