There is a lot of drama about how I ended up with the Magnum instead of the Magnum II, I bought the very last Magnum II and an empty box arrived at my door!! Robert sent me a Magnum he had stashed away to replace it! Mine has a laco branded rotor which makes perfect sense when you take a look at the laco model that just happens to use the same case crown etc... and cost twice as much and not have nearly as good of lume! I am pretty sure we got the better deal with the Roberts!

same here...I believe they all had a Laco signed rotor and at $295. NIB they were a steal...the brand was always rumored to fall under the Steinhart name....wish they had more imo....I have seen some new ones but they look like Asian movements....I also had a Squaremaster that I sold a couple years ago with the same Laco engine woohoo.gif
