Just as it says..  What currently resides on your short list.  TRY to limit it to top three ;)  For me its:

-Bathys 100 Fathoms (automatic, PVD,  I cant decide if I want the aquaculture or not)

-Dievas Aqualuna- I have no idea why, but the dial is so striking to me, i have to have one.

-Sinn U1- no braclet, rubber strap with deployment.  The stealth version is a grail for me.

1. Tissot Janeiro - Missed my chance in the late nineties and with only 3333 running around my chances are slim.

2. Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso

3. Zenith Elite

Only one is in my afforability range but you did ask for a "short list" not a realistic one.

At this point...I have no short list.  Now, I just wait until I see something I like that's priced right...currently waiting on my Debaufre Wings of Gold Pilot. (today is the day!)

My list making has evolved over the past few years. I use to have the top 10 most desired watches then it went to 20 and then to 5. Now I just go by feel. What grabs me for the moment. And for now in freeze mode in buying. But hopeful that will be changing soon. But the style I may go after next will likely be either a Diver or a Pilot. ;)

The Debaufre Marine Timer wasn't on my short list, and should arrive tomorrow, I couldn't refuse the package deal, and their great customer service pushed me over the edge.ThumbsUp02.gif

The only watch I want next is the Benarus Megalodon with a Swiss ETA, that could be months. That's it:shock: I'm to the point If I purchase another watch after this one something must gomistake.gif

I am leaning more towards unique pieces these days (watching the wallet)...the Breitling Premier is always at the top of my list, but as of late...

1) Having a custom Everest being made now (will share with you guys in May 2009)

2) Looking at a Tissot Heritage

3) Going to Italy next week, small town in NE, maybe I will find a jewel in an antique store there (crossing my fingers).

Amen!ThumbsUp02.gif Have to agree or straps. They treat us pretty good no complaints here. I don't have to go anywhere else to purchase a watch or strap. Accept for the Rolex Deep Sea.mistake.gif:shock::D
