what exactly does the "no RAD" symbol on my PRS 50 stand for?? My understanding is that the luminous material does not contain radiation ahla the Panny Radomir???????????

Newer lume materials are based on chemical compounds that absorb light and then slowly release it.  Other lumes were based on radium(before ~1970)  and then later  tritium both radioactive elements. Tritium still in use that what the T in T-Swiss-T markings means.

So that means the symbol is to denote a radioactive material "was" used or not??

yes Tony....that is a "no radiation symbol" it indicates the luminescent not to be radioactive...below is the description from the origianl Blancpain: hand6.gif
The important characteristic of this watch is the no radiation symbol indicating the luminiscent not to be radioactive.
