Great site, see it every morning. Have gotten ito a craze for Japanese watches, maybe because they are more affordable. Maybe to me now the purchase of a Rolex Datejust would not be as exciting as a $2000 Seiko or Orient. Anyone on this same boat? Also I wanted to show off the views from where I live...maybe 5 min from my house.

Josejmarti, yes, we are somehow on the same boat. I snapped up lots of Seikos years ago, kilos of vintage ones (chronos, bellmatics, world timers, bullheads, pilots, dress), then stopped ![]() Somehow, the joy of snaring a Rolex is really worlds better than a Seiko but then again, I haven't owned a single Credor, Phoenix or Grand Seiko yet.....so maybe someday I will eat my words ![]()

I've been collecting watches for close to 20 years. I can tell you that it is not how much a watch costs that matters, but how much you enjoy the watch! There is a lot of fun to be had finding some great inexpensive watches to add to the rotation. I also really enjoy the challenge of trying to track down a rare watch. My last couple of of watches were in the $250 range and one is my most complimented watch ever! Most people couldn't ID a Patek or JLC if their lives depended on it anyway. My next one will be about $500, and I am really looking forward to locating it. The other advantage is that you will have much more money to lose in the stock market! Have fun, and enjoy your collection. P.S. Let me know when you find a seiko SUS!
