I have been trying to find a Seiko Moonphase watch for a friend. I haven't been able to come up with much except this new Kinetic model:

http://www.seikowatches.com/products/premier/kinetic_ddmp/srx003p1.html

Problem is, I can't find anyone online selling this watch or the black dial version. It is a new watch, but you would think it would be available somewhere. Any ideas?

Mike I'd say your best bet for now would be to contact and or keep an eye on Roachman's site. He seems to stay in the game very good with Seiko's. ;)

Thanks for the links and info. The watch was introduced in March of 2009, so it should start showing up somewhere. I was just surprised at how few moonphase watches were available under $1,000 compared to a decade ago.

I'm watching ebay also for vintage moonphase. :dude:

Mcwright you might try sending a PM to bigrustypig, he has several Seikos and has the opportunity to travel around Asia on a regular basis.  I know that he keeps up with the Seiko brand and checks out their new watches in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila and etc.  Good luck in finding the Moon Phase watch, it looks superb!  hand6.gifhand6.gif

You can also try to contact Seiya Kobayashi from http://www.seiyajapan.com , a great guy to deal with and he can get you almost any Seiko you could think of.

Nice looking Seiko by the way.
