Good day gents. I hope I used the term in the post title correctly. I am very much attracted to the Blancpain FF, but simply cannot spend that kind of money on a watch. I've been looking around and have noticed several manufacturers producing "hommage" versions. Does anyone here own any of these and what is the opinion? If favorable, it may be my next watch. The ones I've seen are: Precista, MKII, Corvus. As always, thanks and best regards - "Red"

Red, I own the Precista PRS50 and the watch is top notch in fit and finish. There is a new model available from Eddie at timefactors.com . The MK2 Stingray is also a fantastic representation of this style. No bad choice. Chris....cant wait to see what you have up your sleevehand6.gif

I have the Stingray and have been very pleased with it. It is a very nice piece and maintains good accuracy. It is the one watch I have that the second hand starts moving when I pick it up. From others comments about the Precista, I don't think you could go wrong with either one of those.

Village, that is VERY nice. You may have made up my mind with those pics. Thank you. What's the consensus on the new Corvus? I've read some pretty good reviews of it. Thanks again Gentlemen - "Red" Last edited on Fri Jul 31st, 2009 08:35 am by |

Corvis looks almost the same as the Stingray but is almost twice the price. Also Bill's rep is top notch. Here is a comparison I did between the PRS-50 A and the Stingray. http://www.timetechtalk.com/view_topic.php?id=9807&forum_id=1&highlight=stingray+vs I have a PRS-50 B on order as soon as my DN's number comes in (missed #20).

The Precista is the way to go in my opinion. The PRS-50 is unique in design with the expection of the original...great dial!

Had this for awhile and love it. I like the look of the new dial/hands, but the crystal sure adds alot of distortion at an angle. Bob ![]()
