Here are my top five choices for BEST BANG-FOR-THE-BUCK watches that cost between $100 and $300. See what you think: 1. Seiko Knight (Black or White):  In my opinion the best Seiko Diver for the money. It glows every bit as bright as the monster and is just as comfortable to wear. Plus, it looks just as well with a suit as it does with a sport shirt. It is just a great looking watch that looks far more refined than most others in its price range. 2: Invicta 2729/9938/9937:  Invicta's best watch for the money. Period. Especially when you can get the blue model on sale with a coupon at shopnbc for as little as $209.99. Great bracelet, gold plated Swiss ETA movement, and a 5-year warranty from shopnbc. 3. Trias Backgammon:  This is the best Trias watch going. Put any other name on this Unitas 6497 watch and you'll pay at least twice as much for it. Onion crown, screwed-in exhibition back, decent lumn on the hands, screw-in lugs for the strap, and a solid coin style case. Two-year warranty. 4. Piljot Aviator NewFlight:  This large, hand wind, Russian 3105 movement watch is simply an amazing value. It is drop dead gorgeous in a simplistic sort of way and you get the impression you could hammer nails with it and it would continue running. Plus, it has an incredible run time of 60 plus hours on a full wind. Amazing. 5. Stuhrling Sea Lion:  Ok, it has a questionable Chinese made Lexus movement. But, the darn watch is so damn good looking and well made otherwise I can't help but put it on the list ahead of some others. It has a beautiful dial and one of the nicest bracelets I have ever seen in this price range. This model seems to be made a lot better than my early Stuhrling watches. I like your list. Especially the Zodiac. That is a really nice looking watch. And, I'd mug ya' for that 3075 :D:D. I didn't include the 8926 as the new model has fallen well below $100 now. Otherwise it would be a must have in any list.

Tough Yet Great Question Michael  In the $100 to $300 Range...... Invicta #8926....  Seiko Knights.....  Poljot Aviators....  Tissot PRS516  Locman.....Super Buy...  And This List Has Dozens of Variations For Me...Ask Again Tomorrow at It Can Change (these were All under $300)  And If Anyone Else Got In on a Oceanaut Spada at $349...May be the Best All Around Watch IMO   Great...Awesome Watches So Far in a Very Tough Price Category...Gotta Get a Zodiac..Man Do I Love that Timepiece

Tissot makes a lot of darn nice watches. I've only owned one and I sold it. The Lochman's though, I don't have a clue about. I see you and others here posting about them, but I know absolutely ZIP about the watches. :?

This is tough because I got so many great watches that are preowned and in 95% plus condition for less than $300. For example, Tissot Seastar 1000, Victorinox Swiss Army 9G-600, Invicta 2014, Glycine Airman (actually bougt BNIB for $50 some years ago).................heck I can give you 5 Seikos for under $150.00. :dude: Jacque Lemans Military....... (1) In the "disposable" watch category, go with Alpha. Best prices on eBay and through http://www.alpha-watch.com/. My new favorite Alpha is this one, which I call the Alpha Zodiac:  (2) Trawl the sales boards regularly on TimeZone.com and PMWF.com (and others). I scored this Tissot Seastar 1000 in excellent condition and with all packaging. It's a great watch, and I paid only $250. (I love the off-center exhibition window on the case back.)    (3) Invicta takes a beating for a lot of its watches and business practices, but it does occasionally turn out a watch that hits on all cylinders. For example, the 1948 series (latest iteration) is all Swiss made and doesn't have a clunker in any of the three models available (if you can still find them available, that is).    (4) I also bought the Locman 1970 automatic, and it's a great piece. Definitely an ideal watch for people who love big watches.
