Well, well, well!:D It didn't take me long to make my mind about this painted bezel: With the help of pics I saw on another forum( A guy who dared Tissot and ripped off the paint on his blue bezel! Will he be punished? ), I decided to do the same! Thanks for the help from Stew77 for the link by the way! Well armed with my dremel with a wood-stick inside and some special alcohol for ripping paints off(As I had only that), I attacked the bezel during one hour and half. I didn't want to bade it in white-spirit in fear that it goes on the gasket under the bezel and eat it out, so I just applicated carefully the industrial "red-booze" I had, with a cotton tip. The dremel made most of the job with it's wood stick for not scratching the steel. A thin wooden tooth-pick and a brass needle did the finish in the corners... The paint residues around the numbers and inside the first minutes tags are the most uneasy but with patience, it comes off: It have to, because you can't look at a half finished bezel...It's just too horrible:D So here it is!!  I must say! I like it much better now! The watch feels upgraded and it gives a higher quality touch somehow: Well, that's my own opinion and as I like unique or custom models, I'm a happy camper! When the all watch will be polished again, it will become one of my favorites for sureperfect.gif     Same watch 2 hours ago;)

Interesting! It certainly makes the watch look heavier / bulkier, because it accentuates the case (s/s) rather than the dial (blue). I wouldn't do that to mine, but your effort and risk paid off nicely. Enjoy your unique watch!

Looks great Hammerfjord!!!  ...I saw your SeaStar pic today in the Daily wrist shot section, and thought to myself....wow...he got right to it!!! (I'm wearing my SeaStar today coincidently). Thank you for the koodos in sending you the link...glad I could be of help. I have to agree that this mod gives the SeaStar a certain beefiness and wrist presence that isn't there with the painted bezel....the standard SeaStar is definitely one of those watches that wears smaller than its dimensions due to the overall bezel design and smaller dial dimensions. I like what you've done here...if my bezel ever starts to chip out it's nice to know this is an option. Congrats!!

Thanks guys! That will certainly help some guys who got them bezel chipped! Saw on the net that somes wondered about what happened in the head of Tissot for doing a painted bezel like that....No patent to take here:D

I have the same watch and what I have always wanted to do is to upgrade the lume. First off, the quality of the lume they used is not as good as it could be. Second, the hour markers on the face are a little rectangles and triangles that are a mix of blingy stainless on the edges and lume in the centers. That means less lume applied to each hour marker. Net result is weak lume applied to limited surface = disappointing...especially when compared to my Orange Monster or Glycine Lagunare SE...both of which are lume machines.
