The Gevril watch company was started by Jacques Gevril in the mid-1700s in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland's center of watch-making for centuries. A sought-after master of horology, Gevril created his first chronometer in 1743 and his first repetition dial in 1744. Most notably, he was called upon by the King of Spain in 1758 to produce a personal timepiece, was so appreciated that Gevril was appointed Royal Swiss Watchmaker to the Spanish Crown. During the 1800s, the Gevril family expanded their art to include enameling as well as the creation of dials for their watches. Gevril timepieces are displayed in museums across Europe - most notably the Museum Geneve and the Rolex Museum (where a Gevril pocket watch is displayed in the collection personally selected by the Wilsdorf family, founders of Rolex).

In the centuries-long Gevril tradition, this watch, along with the precision automatic movement powering it, is entirely Swiss-made and assembled. The orange accents encircling the blue dial create a stunning contrast, further amplified by luminous hour markers. The magnificent movement is fully visible through the exhibition sapphire-crystal casebook, the whole package enclosed by a stainless-steel case and bracelet.

I have a very similar model, a bit more sober (all white no orange and date @ 3 with a single window).

This is the watch that started it all for me, some months ago! I have not been able to stop buying since then... It is also my best watch. Very well made, and the watch storage case is top notch. ETA 2824-2 inside.

Got it a bit cheaper, though, on a sports online discount store. Now much more expensive over there for the rubber band version.

BTW, WR is 50m/150ft.
