So, during the last year I have become a bit more obsessed with watch collecting (and wearing, of course) and have built up the beginnings of a collection that will hopefully grow and prosper over the rest of my life. I've already got some watches that I really love, but recently noticed that all except one are black dials. I really like white dialed watches, but can't seem to find the perfect one for me. I hope you much more knowledgeable and experienced WUS will be able to find it. First, let me list the watches I already have.

-Steinhart Nav.B in Stainless
-Dievas Vintage Cailfornia Titanium
-Lum-Tec Bull45 A3 (Don't have this one yet, but it's on order. It will be my only white dial so far.)
-Lum-Tec Bull45 A4
-Benarus Sea Devil w/ Black Dial
-Casio Sea Pathfinder SPF40-1V

So, as you can see I like my watches big (the smallest so far are the Lum-Tecs at 45mm, but those are square so they wear larger). I would like whatever white dial I end up with to be at least 45mm. In regards to style, I welcome all suggestions and am particularly looking for brands that I haven't thought of yet. I would like suggestions of watches on both bracelets and straps. The idea piece would be able to do both. Budget should be at least under $1000, preferably under $700.

Any ideas would be welcome, I would ideally like the watch to be able to be purchased new, but bought my Benarus used from a great 3T member (thanks, Michael!!) and it turned out great, so I would be open to a pre-owned watch, especially if the watch I end up liking is a limited production piece.

I'll leave you with a few white dialed pieces that I like, one of which I'll probably be going with if I don't find anything else I like.

Thanks for your help and friendliness to a new guy!

I have a feeling the Panerai will run you more than $1,000.

If you're looking to spend a bit more you should check out the Rolex Explorer II. It's next on my 'must have' list.

Ah I figured the Paneri would be out of the budget he gave us plus I find it too busy.

saw it earlier today too. Very nice. What kind of mvt
does it have? It is a very sporty looking watch tho so it depends on what the OP is looking for in terms of style.

The Stowa is beautiful, has classic appeal, is a bit plain overall and looks 'dressy'.  The Nixon is gigantic, I've seen it in stores and could not help but smile and giggle a bit...it does look quite unique and 'sturdy' for the price point.  Sorry I don't have many original ideas that come to mind to suit your needs here...I'll keep your situation in mind while browsing though!!!  Best of luck to you on you're current quest for white watch nirvana...

Based on your choices, STOWA would be good. However, there's a little-known German brand that's also popular for their milky-white dials, reliability and simplicity. I am talking about the NOMOS and the model is the Tangente.

It's smaller than your sweet spot of 45mm with a size of just 41mm but it's a cranker and the design is timeless, very Bauhaus. It's also a little higher than your US$700 desired price point. The blued hands and conservative designs might grab your fancy.

Hope this helps.;)
