I've seen these on ebay and they seem to be unusual designs and are limited ed, but they're made by an anesthesiologist, so I'm not sure about their build quality and durability. Does anyone have any experience here? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=280422940876&Category=31387&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D1#ht_8298wt_1167 I'm always looking for the unusual piece, and this guy seems to have nailed that (for me) with his dial designs and materials. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but wanted to check before making a purchase. John

I've been looking at these too John, IMO I put these in the same category as the XO Skeletons....just a little too far out there for me, the lume looks killer but thte designs are just a little too extreme

I love the idea of blazing lume but don't find the CF dials to be my cup of tea. Funky designs for sure but imho not in keeping with eh "sense of homage" around these watches. Also $300 to $400 seems pricey for an phunky homage with a Chinese 6497 clone.

I spent a few minutes studying the designs and then the dials. Somehow, the watches don't appeal to me. In my opinion only, it seems the designer got carried away a little bit. Maybe the same designs but in smaller cases (say 40mm) would have done it better. ;) I also don't like the Seagull movement that much....just my opinion:D

He's using other movements than just the Seagull, I'm just not sure on the quality and durability. All watches are attractive to some and not others, so that's not what I'm as concerned about. Thanks for your thoughts.

Hey you asked for opinions...face4.gif Seems no one here has any expereince with them first hand so far since they don't dig the styling so sorry your question in regards to build quality and durability cannot be directly answered. BTW, still waiting on your pix.;) We would love to see some of your collection.

Saw some of those watches...The only problem for me is the Seagull. Titanium or SS case, more lume than other usual watches...What would be wrong with that? Well, I would not gamble on the solidity/reliability of a Seagull as I would on an Unitas or ETA 6497/6498...

No problem - just wanted to make sure to let you know my thoughts. Where would you like me to post the pics? Here, or is there someplace else specifically geared toward collections?

Okay, here's my overall collection. iPhone pics, so the one in the case is a bit dark. If you can't see what's there I'll try to list them for you. I've also got an Enzo Mechana EMV-001, but don't have a photo at the moment. I'll have to get one and post it, too. http://gallery.me.com/jmarchiando#100006 Enjoy!

You have very nice pieces in there John! WOW!!! hand6.gif I saw those too on ebay and on WUS. I think it is a very original design. Personally I like some of them. There is versions with Unitas movement available at $600. I can understand that this is not a watch for everybody with their bold design and being a new company. To me, these are more like art watches. I'm not crazy about Chinese movements either and have no watches with a Seagull movt but, everything I read on that company seems to say that they have some of the best, if not the best movements made in China, again, according to my readings and not based on personal experience. I've been looking at the Precista PR5 for a while and might pull the trigger on this one for a first experience. Back to the Pyrolume, I think it is fantastic to see a guy out of nowhere coming with his very original design, his own lume material, his own dials... I give this guy big Kudos for it. I wish I had the balls and talent to do it too and I think I will have a Pyrolume watch in my collection one day, I think they are unique...
