I've just started looking at Luminox (particularly the 6204 pictured here). I don't know a whole lot about them, other than the model I'm looking is hard to find, I could barely even find a decent photo.

Anyone have any opinions? Are they decent brand, good quality?

Thanks!

Usually questions like these can be answered with voluminous responses by using the search function here on 3T...i know we have discussed these watches in the past.

That said, i have owned a few Luminox in the past, they are well built watches with  ISA or ETA quartz movements, usually nice straps and a great size. I do wish they would make some watches with automatic or manual wind movements though.

Overall a nice watch if you buy it at the right price.

I own and/or have owned quite a few Luminox watches. They use decent quartz movements and some come with 10-year batteries. My experience with the brand has been excellent. The model you are searching for may be discontinued.

You might also look at Traser or other brands that use mb-microtec luminous technology.

FWIW, Luminox does make a couple of automatic models. But, they are hard to find. Traser offers a handful of Swiss ETA automatic that are quite good.

I have one and I like it...the fellow that I bought it from swapped out the mineral crystal for a sapphire. It's a great grab and go for anything casual, yardwork, waterwork, etc. A true tool/beater. I've got mine on a two-piece zulu and I have no plans to change it out. hand6.gif

I have a couple that are very nice. I guess the gas tubes are my reason.

I'm late with my gratitude, but thanks for the replies. I ended up getting the 6203.
