After the big earthquake that ravaged Chile, I am back to normal at home with no major damages and with all basic services back. This is not the case of thousands, though, especially in the south of the country. All my family is OK.

Inside my house, many things fell from the shelves, but mostly books and only minor things were broken.

Now the watch part of it. I went to my home office 5 minutes after the quake to get my cell phone, wallet and watch. The one that was in rotation and was outside of the box (Hami Poseidon) was not visible in the pile of books and stuff over the table and floor, so I got one of the boxes and grabbed my quartz Swiss Army. I guess that when I needed time certainty quartz was the choice...

A big sigh of relief to know that you
and your family are safe.

I haven't been watching the
news on television until last night, the devastation in Concepcion were the epicenter of the quake hit was far worse, than appeared in newspaper photos.

Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone in Chile.

Simon

Happy to hear your OK Ral, I was talking to some friends in Hawaii the other day when they thought they were going to get hit with the Tsunami from the earthquake, they lucked out when it never really materialized.

It's been a crazy last 6 months with good old Mother Nature.
