Some may recall I have a colleague who is a man of means. He ought to be since every day he's literally got people's lives in his hands... At any rate we've been discussing his next acquisition and he was looking hard at an IWC Portuguese or a Pam 233. Well, he went with the 233 getting a stellar deal on it from our local AD who is just fantastic. Last watch he aquired was the modern Ploprof and now this.

What a sweet piece. I am simply green with envy. The fiddy case holds a triple barrelled eight day hand wound in house movement. Other complications include a GMT function (hidden under the hour hand) and a day/night indicator There's not all that much to see from the exhibition case back but it's all good. Unfortunately I  had to return the watch...mistake.gif

Have a look. sorry for the cell phone pix and hideous office lighting.mistake.gif

No doubt - the 8 days GMT is a killer watch. Nice one! Hope your friend enjoys his watches, he is accumulating a WIS-worthy stable there!

Mark, I always loved that watch.Drool_27.gif Houses the first Pam manufacture movement.

Is your friend a surgeon or anaesthesiologist ("has people's lives in his hands...")?

Thanks guys I only wish it were mine or I could puppy dog it for a few days though I think that's not too likely. Jeff, my friend is a Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon and you may see him sporadically at PuristPro or WUS as "Sirjun".

Tony, don't believe everything the pundits tell you.subtlelaugh.gif I was trying to push him toward the IWC too but he got a great deal paying a used price from a great AD.
