Well getting older has it's virtues and down sidessubtlelaugh.gif I need your opinions, I've decided to change the hands on my Nicolet Skeleton...just cant read the time with the present contrast. Lookin at going with blue hands, I know the traditional dark blue look good, but dont think they will help my problem.....check out the link and tell me what you think of the oiled blue offered which are a more light blue...will they look OK or not?

Thanks for your input...T

I don't think they would look bad- a glossy finish would be best IMO; but I can't tell from the pics

Those should stand out better Tony and that blue should rock with the rose gold. Over all look should be better.

I think they would look alright but have you tried wearing glasses? sponge bob.gif

I think a wide black would look better but thats just personal opinion. Good luck!!

That lighter blue should pop against the skeleton and rose gold. Which design you thinking of using?

Tony, I think any of the oil blue ones would look OK, I agree with Skip that shade of blue should look pretty good with the RG

I like the blued hands better and think it would look sweet against the rose gold....let me know how that works out as I am finishing up a Panny homage mod with a pvd skeletonized Unitas out of another watch and I will have a set of furnace blued hands leftover and may use them on my Nicolet "Mechanist" like yours.hand6.gif

Tony...I think you are on to something here with this hand choice.

I think that your hand choice (combined with the photo above from Gregger) should really help you.

I think that the oiled blue will look just fine, but more importantly...I think that the Lume filled (and significantly wider) hands will really help with the legibility of the combo.

I would also say that if there is a black filled Lume version of these hands that that would work equally well.

Good luck, and I can't wait to see how it turns out!!!

-Chris

Just me I guess but I'd reco the HAN-6404, the one with gold and white luminous hour and minute hands. They'd stand out better. The light blue hands somehow won't make it with the skeleton look.ThumbsUp02.gif
