a new spin on quartz....just 1 fine looking chrono-diver imo! Drool_27.gif The Class-1 Ice Shark by Edox is powered by a Ronda-5040.B quartz chronograph movement. The original Ronda caliber featured a standard tri-compass layout but this one is electric-powered with big date display and only two counters. The 45mm case is stainless steel with black PVD coating, there is a sapphire crystal and the watch has 1,000-meter water resistance. Other features include black ceramic bezel with numbers and markers that stand out in white and orange and a black dial that contrasts against orange outlined sub-counters. This limited edition is set at 1,000 pieces and the number of the edition is engraved on the right flank. ![]()

Nice interplay between the ceramic and the PVD, there, Oscar. EDOX make some very nice watches - this one goes straight to the top of the tree. Selling for about $3k, but found a good one on the bay at about $2200 if anyone is interested. Would look pretty cool with the orange strap, too - take a look at the box shot in item number 230451622403. Cheers- Ian hand6.gif Last edited on Thu Mar 25th, 2010 02:53 am by IanM |

While it has all the things you need for a serious watch like a good size and heft, sapphire glass, huge chrono pushers, PVD coating......Edox should have take the auto route for this one. I'm loving that bezel, the way it's been milled and those 4 screws at 130, 430, 7430 and 1130. Thanks for posting ![]()
