The Lume triangle on my Maraton TSAR fell out!  It must have happened last night some time, since it was not on this morning when I woke up.  I looked around really quickly but didn't see it, so it's lost forever.

Questions:

1.  Do I need to worry about replacing it immediately or covering the hole?  I don't think there is any problem (other than cosmetic) with leaving it out until I get it fixed, but does anyone know better than me?

2.  How do I get it fixed?  Can I send it back to Marathon, or should I find someone who does re-lume jobs?  I don't know if it is something you would fill in like on a dial or hands, or if they just have material that is pre-cut to fit.  Any recommendations?

Thanks everyone!

Sad to read about your plight.

I'd suggest you get in touch with the company for directions. How old is your watch?

Yes, as Jeff says, you should contact them. They certainly had some request of this kind before. I got a SAR and never had any trouble with it but I heard of the Bezel-fairy who steal some lume dots at nighttoon1.gif

It's a 2005, though I recently bought it used, so it's not covered by any kind of warranty I wouldn't imagine.

If I was you, I would ask to get sent the part and would have ask a competent guy to set it glued back on the bezel... This in case they would not make the repair themself.

Agree. But Focal, I'd buy 2 or 3 pips from the company and keep the rest as spares. They're relatively easy to install and keeping them in place for good can be helped with some very carefully applied Loctite....for good measure.woohoo.gif

Agree with all stated and as for the Loctite go with the red it is much more permanant.

Its pre-cut to fit.

I know of some one who will fix it for you. PM me if you want and I will give you the details.

When Lume triangle on my Maraton TSAR fell out I replaced it myself with some lume

that I got from e**y.  But it does not look as good as the Marathon triangle.

I have owned 2 SARS and 2 TSARs, never had that happen to me. Not sure if you can send it back to them ( Richmond Hill - Canada) but you may be able to get the triangles. I heard Jack at IWW can fix them.

Regards
Robt

I sent an e-mail to Marathon, so hopefully I can hear back from them, if not, then I'll try IWW.

Thanks for the help guys.
