Ok here is my dilemma,

I want to buy my wife a great medium priced watch, up until now she’s been into fashion watches (i.e. guess mistake.gif) ,, sorry but I have to be honest, now I want to buy for her a real watch with the following specs,

Over 35mm – 40 mm range

Swiss made (quartz) due to price range

Rubber or black metallic strap

Sapphire crystal

Normal complications (no chrono) just date.

Price range b/w 200-400 $

What watches would you recommend that have these specs?

thankyou.gif for your help….

this is what I bought my 21 yr. old daughter last year and she loves it and it has been working flawlessly....white ceramic is very hot right now in womens watches and is scratch resistant....it also comes in a variety of colors and dials. Lior who owns Swiss Legend can't be beat when it comes to CS/QC...it is 40mm,100m water resistant, screw down crown, saph crystal with a Swiss quartz engine and it really looks awesome imho...happy guy.gif

I got this one for my wife who pounds the crap out of watches. As long as I check her crown every so often it is watertight.homerthinks.gif You could put a rubber strap on it.

I agree with Oscar, I just bought my wife a Swiss Legend to beat on a daily basis.

ok really honest now, I have tried this before but it has proved more favourable to keep that money and take her shoe shopping, she will like the watch but the time you spend with her helping her pick shoes or handbags etc will win hands down. We love watches but our wives I feel see them as a practical thing and I think we rarely connect on this. Spend the time ....the important thing is taking her out for the shop not the buying bit, I think that would work great.
Take care.

Neo

Ok fair play. ThumbsUp02.gif

Right Orient, Seiko and Citizen have great automatics for that price and they are light in weight.
Use the word "ladies" on the bay and "automatic" with the make and there are some light great looking watches available. Check this out ......

Again hope all goes well in your choice.

This might be a good choice. The Junkers 6337-2 has a 5-jewel Swiss quartz movement, black leather strap, luminous hands, etc. A comparable Zeppelin model is also available. Both are in your price range. Both are quite thin also.
