The very first watch that I lusted for was the Rolex GMT II with a Coke bezel. At the time, they were harder to find than the Pepsi GMT and even harder to find was the Rolex Explorer. I'd always look in the cases and windows of Rolex dealers until one day I popped for one. I don't have it anymore, but it was the first watch I just couldn't live without. For me in 1988, it was the 1990 model of the Submariner. I eventually got it in 1992 and flipped it for something else years later. In 2009, I yearned for it again and took one home. IMHO, every gentleman should have this.![]()

The first watch I remember lusting for was the Rolex Daytona (white dial)...I was in high school and obviously had no means to acquire it...still haven't acquired one to this day and don't know if I ever will, but still love the piece. Stolen pic below: ![]()
