Has anyone seen this limited edition Accutron watch for sale yet? Any idea of the pricing?

Mike, I saw that in one of the Watch Magazines, I have to try and look it up, but I think that one was in the 3K range, which I thought was a little outragous.

It is all hand made as none of the original tooling is left.  This is one of my total grails!
One of the originals:

Why pay this ugly new price for a reedition when you can have an original NOS for less money?
Anyway, too much plastic for me: The era when everybody thought that bakelite and electronic was "THE THING" for watches...Is gone.
And there's no mistery in that.

That is a cool watch, but for 3-4k... I don't know... I agree with will only on the NOS part...

I really like the Accutron Spaceview and have promised myself that I will get one, one day...

The re-edition is special, but not $4k worth of special, IMHO. BUT - you DO get a plaque and a box...  subtlelaugh.gif

In the photos on the web, I notice that the case is "triangulated" and the lugs are like a version of the old "bow-tie" lugs. The website does not, as far as I can tell, show us the case dimensions of the new re-edition hand-made model.

Problem with the oldies is that they are in the middle-30 mms in width, and for me these days that is a bit small. There is a squarer cased version at about 40mm, and that is probably the one I will eventually shoot down.

I will keep looking...

Love the "hummers"!

Cheers all - IanM ThumbsUp02.gif
