Thanks, Huck. Interesting unit. Reminds me of a cross between an Enzo Sub Hatch and an Ennebi Fondale.

Just curious why it had to be a cranker....a cranker for a diver...I don't know....

Looks really sturdy though and seems capable of taking lots of knocks.

I like the watch Huck but still have to ask why?....what purpose does it serve except it's a cool concept that is probably time consuming to swap back and forth between wrist to pocket...
....I think a cool idea since you work with metals in your buckle designs something that could convert a dive or any other type of watch into a pocket watch by simply installing a spacer/adaptor of ornate or cut-out design metal ie: silver, bronze,ss,with a loop at the top to attach a watch chain and that fits between the lugs at 12 with the springbar or lug screw ...and even some type of design/spacer included for between the lugs at the 6 position to give it a more balanced look....ThumbsUp02.gif
....you can make me one in bronze for the idea Buddy!dog smile.gif

I think it would take just as much time to change a strap out?

I like your idea but I already tried it, it only works on Cases like the Orsa Sea Angler etc... the kind of screw in lug bars.

spring bars even thick do not provide enough stability, if you had 2 spring bars on each lug then it would work but cases dont provide this.

Cheers

talk to you soon regarding Buckles, New Year :)

I don't know what you're looking at Huck but this UTS takes a lot of screwing/unscrewing to get it into pocket watch form...
....my idea is like installing a strap...if a watch can stay on a wrist through all sorts of activity with a springbar why wouldn't it be able to hold a spacer that would connect to a watch & chain?...Panerai uses springbars but adds to the tensile strength by adding the tube...I think we may have 2 different views of what I was proposing?

I think for all intents and purposes a strapmaker could make something like a watch fob out of a nice thick piece of leather that would work as well...ThumbsUp02.gif

This looks like a cool idea but I wonder if you switch it from wrist to pocket mode, would you need a specific torque setting for those lug screws?  Seems like perhaps more work than necessary.
