Haven't posted my collection at the two year mark here. Two winders -one a quad dual slot with 12 trays ( 8+9 as listed on the bay - snagged for $155 - silent motors - don't have a clue on quality and the second winder - a Steinhausen - quad single slot with a tray for two (overpriced - rotten motors lurching at the 14 month mark). Invicta SAII 3 hands will not fit on the quad dual slot. ![]() Pictured on winders CF LE #16/1500 and a 9937 8928a and a Swiss Air/AirForce 7750 tachy/chrono in the tray - a 2638 OGII chrono, 1st gen Renato and a 'zilla ![]() On the winders: Oceanaut Acqua Mariner blue and yellow dial OM and BM In the tray: ALBA/Seiko LE yellow dial, BlueM and YM On the winder: Blue and Silver Dial SAII 3hand This is my collection (all ss bracelet) 3 quartzies and rest automatics - 9937, Oceanauts and SAIIs are ETA2824-2 and the Swiss Army is a Valjoux7750 Not pictured - on my wrist at the time - is an Invicta Grand Diver - 2 tone blue bezel... O.A. Gaspar wrote: Great Collection Mikie and Winders....Congrats,BuddyThe Steinhausen was giving me "lurches" even before the SAII's were purchased. When they do not rotate evenly - I can only guess flat spots on the motors... or voltage regulator problems. Others warned me too late on this purchase. The quad/dual slot is a thing of beauty - watching all rotors rotate - as all 4 dual slots have been programmed by me to wind both ways (can''t hurt the Miyotas or the ETA 2824-2 as I understand - and the Seiko 7S26 goes both ways I think... The YM was a PRIVATE sale - the owner stating (on another forum) that he was going for a GRAIL watch - said everything in his collection might be up for sale - and I wasn't even the first to ask... Highest offer dropped out and there I was... ALBA (love the watch) was a fluke - going to a Japanese site (zoovy?) looking for a Seiko tunacan - and still still trying to fill the YM hole in my collection at that time. I spent almost as much on YM substitutes (Oceanaut Acqua Mariner and ALBA as on the YM. I haven't a clue on the value of the ALBA LE. I think they have all been sold (1-999). Paid $218 for a very heavy watch (212 gr) with a sapphire crystal and a 7S26 with the crown at 3 o'clock... powder blue outlined hands make this a unique watch - ALBA's first mechanical. Comes in a LE box similar to the YM. Oh yeah- you can never have enough yellow dial Last edited on Sat Apr 22nd, 2006 04:28 pm by mikiehorn |

Once the wife accepts my watch collecting as an "investment" she thinking $$$ - me thinking mental health... we're renewing our vows in June at the 36th year mark... I'll be back in the hunt. Got some pistols I've been itchin' to purchase also... Good question though. I'm thinking a Swiss 7750 yellow dial or a SEIKO big diver - not the SKX-A35 rubber strap (although I like the watch)... still looking for a cool "tunacan", but I'm also looking at Hammy's/Accutron etc 7750's in all colors... Suggestions anyone? Where does one go from the YM Last edited on Sat Apr 22nd, 2006 11:52 am by mikiehorn |

Mike, I have a yellow Valjoux on its way to me! :) As for Seiko diver, there is no yellow diver accept for the SKXA35 and YM. Tunacan is cool but it is a quartz. I was thinking to mod a Tuna can into a yellow auto! It is possible, but it needs a vintage Seiko diver and the SKXA35's dial. So the cost before modding is already costly! :(:(:( mikiehorn wrote: Once the wife accepts my watch collecting as an "investment" she thinking $$$ - me thinking mental health... we're renewing our vows in June at the 36th year mark...
