B&R Nascafe Racer by Shaw's Harley-Davidson........... .............so, I've been following this bike around the UK since I heard about it in March this year!!
I'm really pleased that it will appear at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will actually be ridden by Roland Sands.
I've until now only seen it static!
Really excited to see it move and listen to the immense noise it will create!

here are a few pics that I've gathered over the last 3/4 months!!

...where I first discovered the bike, at their showroom in East Sussex, UK!

...photographed at the MOSI, Custom Bike Show, in Manchester.

it was displayed outside an AD in Kent, UK for a week

.....me on the bike!

...Steve Willis, Principle Director and creator of the concept from Shaw's H-D

...at a custom Bike Show 'California Dreamin' in Bournemouth.

Looked at it again Gumba nd the head covers look amost like the old Shovel or pan heads. Might have just switched them for astetics. My assumption is based on,it appears to be water cooled. Would be cool to find out.

looks like a Pan-Head for sure Gumba...here's more info and pics on the BR-AVO.com forum:

Bell&Ross and Shaw Harley Davidson collaboration
Just spoken with the photographer, Paul, who has kindly emailed me some more photos for you guys to see!!
Included is a revised 'tank' shot and some different profiles.
Many thanks indeed are due to Paul and Steve Willis of Shaw Harley-Davidson.

This is one of the latest motorcycles coming from the UK Shaw Speed and Custom shop, and it is a true masterpiece! The bike is based on FXSTB Softail® Nightrain and Shaw Harley-Davidson completely transformed it using the same philosophy as the master watchmakers Bell & Ross use while developing and assembling their timepieces. The result is the Bell & Ross inspired Nascafe Racer. Every last nut and bolt was stripped down and every detail were take into account while rebuilding this beautiful machine.

The number of custom details is just mind-boggling, with an aggressively lowered front end and a massive 240mm rear tyre, with huge braking rotors on both the front and rear. A handmade rear fender with an exit pipe for the built-in bespoke exhaust system, and hand tailored seat unit with cross stitching were used in the design. And then more. An anodized 1690cc Harley-Davidson® motor, a Cafe Racer style petrol tank was designed by Shaw Speed & Custom are just some of the brilliant “pieces for the puzzle” on this amazing motorcycle art. Handcrafted sheet aluminium was cut and tailored to match the designs of the bike and were built around the front end of the bike to shroud the oil tank, which has been relocated to allow for the addition of the exhaust system.

Using the BR 01 Carbon – the iconic instrument produced by Bell & Ross – the Shaw Speed and Custom team mounted the timepiece in a handcrafted centre console using a machined section of aluminium. The watch mounting positioned the timepiece in a perfect place for its original function as a professional tool for the rider. A combination of anodised blue, carbon and stealth-like matt black custom paint was used on the bike to reflect the timepiece.

“We wanted to mirror the Bell & Ross timepiece wherever we could on the motorcycle and to ensure that the essential piece was never compromised by superfluous design or items,” said Steve Willis, Shaw Harley-Davidson Sales Director and Head of the Speed & Custom design wing of the dealership.

The Bell & Ross mission statement is that every detail has its purpose and function. This technical exactness is expressed through pure lines and timeless elegance and is one that has inspired and driven the Shaw Harley-Davidson team in the United Kingdom to design and build this one-off Custom motorcycle.

The bike was a he crowd pleaser on its debut at the American Motorcycle Dealer (AMD) World Championship round of Modified Harley-Davidson Class at the London International Custom Bike Show at Alexandra Palace and was placed 1st Runner-up in a highly competitive field – a great start to a bike that will be seen at other events including:

The Dublin International Motorcycle Show
Custom Chrome European Show Mainz
St Tropez Harley-Davidson Euro Festival
Bournemouth International Custom Motorcycle Show

The main aim for Shaw Harley-Davidson in 2011 is to qualify for, and defend their world title, in Sturgis USA in August 2011. They are hoping that working with the Bell & Ross team will enable them to realise this.
