Love the matte dial and simple markers but the milled bezel just puts it over the top IMHO http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg&goto=5827281&rid=9152#msg_5827281

Interesting, I feel the bezel is in keeping with the watch. It doesn't seem to stand out to my eyes. I particularly like the pale blue hands and markers. A lot of watches use blue but that sky blue (cyan?) colour is rarer. It's very appealing.

The dial seems a hot mess of different fonts and too big for the movement (all the chrono registers crowded in the middle). Not for me.

Those Tissot chronos are looking like they house a 7750 Valjoux from the front: Because of the dial configuration. In fact, they don't. It's the "new" movement C01.211... I was discussing it with my watchmaker who been working on watches the last 30 years as he had one on repair on his desk... He told me briefly that he didn´t like it and that after his meaning, it was crap compare to a good grade 7750 and was cheaply made. True that this movement looks cheap for a "new born" from ETA. Now I read on the net that it's inspired of some old Lemania and is regarded as a "lower spec Lemania 5100 clone." Frankly, I don't like the look of it and I don't feel like trying it in front of a 7750.

there is a local Tissot AD nearby...when I 1st saw this chrono in the window,I was drawn to the colorful dial,it is an overall good looking watch on all counts imo,but as I got closer,I said to myself,"it looks cheap" once in the store, and in my hand,I felt the same way...it is not well made, and is nothing like the old Seastars we all owned at one time, and that's not saying much.

On my side, when I said that I didn't like the look, I was speaking about the movement. The watch itself looks good but I will trust Oscar and his "cheap" feeling: Had the same feeling about the PRC200 I saw on my watch-maker's bench...

Oscar, did they have the non-chrono version? If they did, how was that one?

I think it's a nice looking watch and I like that they went with a 'not to common'colour for the hands. From the standpoint of promoting horology and mechanical watches I think the new chrono movement is a great idea and I'm glad ETA did it. It now brings a chrono pricepoint closer to more people without having to get something from China. I understand there's more plastic in it but it's still a swiss mov't no? And if it compels people to become more interested in our world isn't that what it's all about? Sharing the horological joy? Just my .02
