:-) That´s right. Oscars watch has been shipped today and most of the CH6 in bronze with black ceramic inlay will be shipped as well in the next 3 working days. :-) After they are shipped we will mainly receive the CH6 in bronze with solid bezel and different dials/crystals. @stew77: Your patina looks WWWWWOOOOWWWWW!!! Did you achiew that with the LOS XL Gel? I have that in my office, but never tried. .... As soon as life gets to normal state back again I will give it a try. Killer job on the CH6...absolutely top notch build all the way IMO!!! ![]() Thanks for the kind words on my patina! Yes, I used the LOS Gel to achieve a quick acceleration of things. It is always a bit of a trial and error process to get things how you want them, but I'm very happy with how mine turned out.

When I have the specialist here: :-) How to achieve the best natural result? OK, depends, but... - do I have to dip the full watch into the diluted fluid or - do you use a cloth to wipe it with the diluted fluid or - will it be heated in a bottle and the watch is just on top of the raising gas???? Have to search in the internet, I´m sure there are some explanations. I think this will be also cool for the CH1 or CH8 and have to try it with the Tungum material as well. :-)

H2O wrote:When I have the specialist here: :-) With the LOS, you prepare the diluted fluid (think I used something like a teaspoon of LOS gel to 10-12 oz of water roughly). (It is also important IMO to heat the water before mixing in the LOS...I try to heat it to around 160°F so that it will be around 140°F when I submerge the watch). I have heard of people wiping the watch with the LOS fluid, but I've never tried that. The temperature of the mixture seems to have an affect on the color of patina achieved, but I've never really experimented too much with a range of temps...hot bronze and hot los mixture yields a more durable patina IMO. I think you get the best experience when you preheat the watch case (I run it under hot tap water before doing a full submerge of the watch into the hot LOS mixture). In seconds (3-10 seconds literally), you will have the watch reacting and can customize it to what you like. If the watch turns really dark (black), you can always post-polish the really dark stuff off revealing the colored patina below. (I always transfer the watch from the hot LOS mixture directly to a cold baking soda/water bath to stop the reaction). This is always a bit of an arts & crafts experiment and your individual results may/will vary! I did my CH1 bronze too, and that bronze reacted slightly different than the CH6 did...I will likely put my CH1 through another round of LOS gel. ![]() ![]()

THANK YOU FOR THE DETAILED EXPLANATION! :-) Patina in seconds: WOW! I will give it a try next month you as you proposed with dipping in hot diluted fluid. If it totally goes wrong I will bead-blaster the surface. Fortunately I have some buckles to try before. :-)

H2O wrote:THANK YOU FOR THE DETAILED EXPLANATION! :-) Patina in seconds: WOW! Great idea to start with the buckles first (I started with those incredible Maddog bronze buckles that you included with the CH6, and they reacted very similarly to the bronze case on the CH6). So after I dipped the buckles and polished them a bit, I then dipped the watch case. It has been said that the patina can be removed with lemon juice or a mixture of citric acid (which is a variation of lemon juice I guess). I have not done this, but it looks like people have had success with it...some others here at 3T may have done similar.
