Tritium has since been banned because of its slight radioactivity...that is why newer watches do not carry the T on the dial.
Your is likely NOS and made during the time when Tritium was still in use.
When you get the watch you can email the serial number on the back to MIdo and they will tell you if the watch is authentic.

Actually, I believe that the "T" Designation is STILL applicable; i.e., according to http://www.mbmicrotec.com/, a major manufacturer of the inimitable Gaseous Tritium Light Source (GTLS):
