Love them of hate them everyone should enjoy seeing one turned inside out! :D Well I've had it for a week or so and it was running pretty fast so today it went under the knife. I was just going to open it grease the gaskets and adjust it but I have magic fingers and I seem to just about always bugger up the keyless works when I remove and install the crown and stem and today was no different. So it came all the way apart down to the front of the movement so I could get the keyless works reset. Took the bracelet loose at the clasp.  I got all the screws loose and the back open. They are nice 2mm longscrews.  Here it is, I still have to take the date wheel off to fix the keyless works. Notice the date on the back of the dial, it matches the date on the case.  All back together and adjusted. Wrist shot just to prove It's still running :lol:

Good job on the adjustment. They just will not give up the nylon retainers. Much easier for them in production and assembly I guess. The only struggle that we had with Invicta was them blaming the designers for the lack of accuracy in the prints for the defects when it was Invicta the companies fault and the lack of oversight. Well I'm just full of dumb questions ... and dumb answers too :D I don't know for sure about the TWN but Taiwan was my guess as well! @e.avery Plastic is a lot easier than metal! One less ring groove to add to the inside of the case and two less screws and clamps to install. If the plastic ring is made out of good materials it will last as long and work as well as a metal one. The one in the scuba fit nice and tight. Or Ology wrote: Does the "TWN" signify Taiwan? (Probably a dumb question, but I've never been afraid to ask dumb questions.)

NICe! I wonder why they decided to go with a decorated rotor movement instead of the plainest ones they have, maybe they have a wharehouse full of them? Or maybe the price is just the same? Still WR to 500m?

Nice teardown and rebuild.:D When I opened the back of mine I was bummed to see it had the gilted (Asian) movement and that stupid plastic retainer ring. I boxed it up and shipped it back out of sheer disappointment.:( I hope you enjoy yours. The case and dial design is top notch.:)

OK, my turn for a stupid question. You say you buggered up the keyless works. How does that happen? Can pulling the crown/stem out do that?

First you guys need to let go of that Asia ETA myth. Either its got the ETA hallmark and its a ETA swiss made movement or its made by Sea-Gull and it doesn't have the ETA hallmark. These are Swiss complete with the hallmark, lot number and all. And no Gold doesn't mean its made in Taiwan either, They are available from ETA in either color. The decorated rotor is standard for Invicta so they would have had to go out of there way to put a non decorated rotor in there. Lastly: Yes removing and installing the crown can mess things up. The spring lever (yoke) that rests on the castle gear(sliding pinion) in the keyless works can be seperated from the castle gear when you make just the right face either installing or removing the stem.(pushing the castle gear forward with the stem instead of sliding the stem through it durring installation I suspect) whatever that face is I seem to make it often. :?
