Can you polish sections of a case with the beadblasted finish like the Orsa? If you can, let me know before I break out the 2000 grit wetsand paper and smooth down the case sides and the top of the lugs, then use a dremel with some rouge and polish the crap out of it.

The only thing I can say is from experience....if you start sanding or sandblasting you are in it for the whole nine yards.... and the key is to be able to be consistant

Well if its just blasted steel and not a treatment to the case, should be easy. I've been painting custom cars forever to fund the racing. I polish bike parts all the time. The wetsand paper can be used with a small rubber block to follow the contours, then put a big wheel on the dremel and tape off any edge I don't want buffed. I'm doing this to a Orsa.hand6.gif

My lot boy showed me a product that is used on various metals ...it is a block of orange colored clay like material and he uses it to buff and take out stains on polished metals .... the work your going to do sounds interesting and the results will be good information

The clay works really good for pulling out dirt,its for detailing. You have a lot boy? I don't think I would have posted that..............

Well...I own a car lot, and any carlot that is worth mentioning has at least one lot boy ....and a mechanic and a salesman and an accountant ...etc. ..... That way I spend my time at play

You can easily polish it back up to a mirror finish. Takes a bit of elbow grease and some grit paper and or metal polish.
