With Johns permission here is a sneak peak of the Bathys 100 Fathoms Mother of Pearl first mockups.

John said that these two models will be called "AquaCulture". |>

Here is the Black PVD:

Here is the Silver PVD:

My honest opinion is, it is a heck of a nice looking watch. But, I wouldn't buy it.

I simply don't want a great looking diver/military style watch with a MOP dial. Why you want to put a MOP dial on that style of watch is beyond me. coyote2.gif

I don't care if it is the greatest quality MOP there is. It is still MOP and it doesn't go with that watch. Unless of course you drop in some diamonds around the bezel... :D

WHOA!  Tough crowd................gotta say I've never been an MOP fan, although I have seen one black MOP dial that was very rich looking.

And yes, in a way, MOP on a dive watch seems somewhat incongruous...........but on the other hand, where do pearls come from and who retrieves them (natural pearls that is)?................DIVERS!  So there is some theme continuity there.

thankyou.gifeveryone!!!!  I do not consider the a tough crowd!!!!!! hand6.gif  I really like everyone here gives their honest opinions. hand6.gif  That is what John is looking for!!!!!

Here is a couple things.

1.)  This will not be priced like the Benthic Diver (I think).

2.)  This is the 100 Fathoms auto line.  The two differences here from his current 100 Fathoms Auto are this will have the MOP dial and the 2892 movement.

I got to see the sample MOP dials back in January in Kauai and let met tell you they are killer the one he picked (errr we all picked).

Steve.....My guess is that John is going to use the same MOP for the ladies watch line he designs.  The only problem is will not see this line until next year. mistake.gif

Keep them honest comments coming guys!!!!! hand6.gifhand6.gif

FYI.....Sandra said "One of each for me please" when she talked to John.

I'm not a big fan of MOP, and the only one I might consider is the Black Pearl, but other than that I prefer a more rugged look, just my honest opinion.
