They are a convenience, but for what they cost (and considering how cheap they are to manufacture), I think (note.....simply my opinion) that they are a waste of money....................period! Last edited on Tue Oct 25th, 2005 10:07 pm by KenC |

I bought a 4 slot winder from Acetimer for almost $200. It's chinese made so the mark up has to be incredible. It's probably only worth about $25. I'll never buy another one from Acetimer or anywhere else. I think they are incredibly overpriced for what you get. All of my hand winding watches with movements like the ETA 2824 never go on there. What's the point if you can wind it by hand every day or two? I only put things like the Seikos on there since they can't be hand wound. I have heard that with the watches wound and running it keeps the oils distributed and things working properly. That's really the only reason I put the watches on the winder. Mike
