I'm starting to sell some of my watches and need some help with how to rate the condition of items I am selling. It seems like one person's "mint" is another person's "90%." Do we have a list of the various ratings and what they mean? It would be really useful to make that a permanent post to the 3T Recycle forum. That way we would have a better idea of the condition of the watches we are trading if we all used the same descriptions for the condition of the item. Thanks.

neat question.I think the tz rating system is worthless.

I rate a watch on overall condition. 1. case2.bracelet. 3. strap, no rating on it if its been worn, its expected to be creased. the movement. very inportant. how it winds, accuracy, hacks, sets dates and time. how well the screwdown crown works, or the pushpull type. if the case, bezel, dial and movement are flawless, 100%. swirls on case and lug scratches that can be taken out, 90 to 95%. caseback scratches can bring down value to 85% because the owner didn't take care of it. I only sell watches that are 100% rated. If anyone can make since of what I just said, put it up so others can understand it.
