Swiss Army dive master LE 500....

Titanium....but the big date is a unique feature for an automatic for $1395 I think.

It is a solid set up!!!

I will check and see but a similar arrangement was used by a manufacturer a few years ago.  They used over lapping or stacked rings to do the big date at the 6.  This example is using concentric rings it appears to me.  Good work gentleman.

I not only saw it I held it Greg!:D It was a special order by a customer through the AD at full msrp/tbd...also almost half have been sold already of the 900 available and most dealers won't even see one especially in Europe as explained to me by the AD who has carried SA since as long as he can remember...store opened in 1920.The Dive Master was a fall/2007 release to the U.S as reprted by Victorinox in their release at Basel....something they don't want the rest of the world to know and later reports stated Dec./2007 in most of the European blogs.watch2.gif

Ok sorry I'm surprised and I learn today that one of the first model has been sold in a Store. I held it too ! but only in Basel this year... I know that lots of models have been sold already and I doubt I possible to have one without reservation. You're right when you said that date was reported to December in Europe. I supposed it was not different for US Market. You're lucky ! An other question, what is for you the full msrp ? In the first press release it was 1395 USD but I heard that this week in a German newspaper (nammed Chronos) the new price was 1495 Euros = 2000 USD !!!

I believe the hang tag read $1395. but when I get back there I will ask what it sold for as I am not sure what tbd means in reference to price? He carries the full line of SA and some pieces I have never seen before...one in particular I am after but he does not bend much on price:Dhand6.gif The gentleman who owns the store was the 1st to tell me that prior to Victorinox/SA opening their new factory/facility that most of his/SA models 2005/2006 were actually made in the Breitling factory!cool10.gifYou will find that there has been much discussion of SA here on 3T Greg and your insight and WIS knowledge is very welcomed!thankyou.gif

This question of Breitling Factory was my first post on an other forum: WUS. The answer is NO. They are not made by Breitling but in the past, this factory was owned by Breitling. Today, the local was owned by ....Lamborghini !
